GenieSummary

Fall Creek Falls, located in Spencer, TN, is a great place to camp with plenty of spaces available during the winter. The camp store offers convenient amenities and the snack bar by the pool has a delicious menu. Lodge accommodations include a nice restaurant. Hiking and scenic trails are abundant and the waterfalls are truly breathtaking. The laundromat is cost-effective with affordable pricing for wash and dry cycles. The cabins on the lakeside have lots of furniture, making for comfortable seating arrangements. However, cabins on the landside can be lacking in sufficient furniture, which can be an issue for larger groups. The State Park has many dead trees, but this is not too bothersome. The lodge dining area is great and offers amazing food, including generously portioned meals. Additionally, friendly wait staff are always checking in to ensure guests have everything they need.

From The Campground

Virgin Falls State Natural Area is a backcountry camping trail located 45 minutes North of Fall Creek Falls State Park. The campground is managed by Fall Creek Falls but is not physically part of the park. The backcountry campsites are limited to 4 adults and 2 children and are located a 4-mile hike from the Virgin Falls waterfall. Visitors are asked to practice Leave No Trace principles and leave their campsite in as good or better shape than they found it. The Eli Field is a group camping area in Fall Creek Falls State Park that can accommodate up to 75 people per site and has a shared bathhouse with toilets and sinks. Reservations for the Eli Field can be made by calling the park office directly.
