GenieSummary

Natchez Trace State Parks Pin Oak Campground is a great place to enjoy a peaceful and quiet camping experience. It offers full service hookups, blacktop roads, level gravel sites, and a picnic table, lantern hook, grill, and fire ring at each site. The park is located 10 miles south of I-40, and the drive in is through some beautiful heavy forests. There is a state park restaurant in the Pin Oak Lodge about a mile from the RV campground that has a very good seafood buffet on Friday night. The lake is great for fishing, kayaking, and boating, and there are over 53 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they patrol later into the day to keep an eye on the kids running around. The bathrooms are clean and large, and there is a laundry facility in the bath house. Cell service is adequate for voice and texts, but not strong enough for reliable data usage. The campground is well maintained and drains well, and the sun sets behind the trees which cools off the area during the day. There is no WiFi or telephone service, but there are a handful of OTA channels. Its a great place to get away from it all and enjoy the outdoors.
