Tims Ford State Park is a great destination for campers looking to explore the outdoors and enjoy a variety of activities. The park is located on Tims Ford Lake, which offers plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming and other water activities. There are also hiking trails, a nature center, playgrounds, a pool and a marina where you can rent pontoon boats, kayaks and paddle boards. The campsites are paved and mostly suitable for pop-up campers and tents, with a few sites near the entrance that can accommodate larger campers. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring, and there is a dump station on the way out. The park also has a Visitor Center and a few restaurants nearby. The campground is surrounded by beautiful scenery, but due to dense tree coverage, there is no water view from the sites. There is also a wooden bridge over the lake inlet in disrepair. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the park is well-maintained, but could use some sprucing up. Tims Ford State Park is a great place for a weekend getaway, with plenty of activities and beautiful scenery to enjoy.

Tims Ford State Park is a 3,546-acre park located on the Tims Ford Reservoir in south-central Tennessee. The park offers RV, tent, and backcountry campsites, as well as cabins for rent. Tims Ford Lake is one of the most picturesque lakes in Tennessee and is known for its bass fishing and recreational opportunities. The park also features a golf course, hiking trails, paddling, and more.
