Activities director couple plans many things to do on a daily basis. Industrial size kitchen provides lunch on certain days. The park is very clean and beautiful, with friendly employees who go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasurable time. Fresh produce wagon comes every Thursday, and they will fill propane tanks on site. Special area for pet owners. Close to lots of flea markets and shopping malls, and a short drive to South Padre Island (45 min). The park has its own bus that takes people to outings, and there is free wireless internet but it is limited to the rec hall and the office building. Cable TV is non existent and there are more Spanish channels to be had than English so bring your satellite dish. The staff and most of the people in the park are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. This is a great park for people who want to spend the winter in the Rio Grande Valley.

Winter Ranch is a gated RV Community located in warm and sunny Alamo Texas, offering a refuge from the cold, snowy winters of the North. The campground is located just two blocks away from Expressway 83, allowing easy access to the nearby Port Isabel and South Padre Island. Alongside nearby attractions, Winter Ranch offers many activities for guests, including pickleball courts, a 9-hole golf course, a concert hall, craft shows, and golf tournaments. Winter Ranch is a world away from all of your cares, but close enough to some of the best attractions that South Texas has to offer.
