Overnite RV Park in Amarillo, TX is an older park that is being renovated. The friendly staff made for easy check-in, and the level grounds had functional water, sewer, and electricity. The highlight of the park is the enclosed fence dog run that runs the length of the site and has plenty of space for dogs to play. The picnic table in the fenced area has an enclosed pergola above it, providing shade and privacy. While the park is next to a truck stop, this is only noticeable outside and is still minimal. The noise from the truck stop and occasional train can be an issue, but the park is still a good option for a short stay. Some of the issues include overflowing dumpsters, dog poop left on the ground, and no access to the laundry as a visitor. Despite these setbacks, the lot and landscape around the campground are pleasant, and the sunsets are beautiful. The park is close to many restaurants, and there are a couple of gas stations you can walk to. Overall, its a decent park with nice amenities and helpful staff.

The park offers 79 lushly-landscaped RV sites with full hookups, a fenced dog park, individual fenced dog runs at each RV site, smooth streets for safe and easy walking, a playground for children, free WiFi throughout the park, a modern laundry facility, and an office store where you can purchase supplies and souvenirs. The park is conveniently located near Interstate 40, making it easy to get anywhere you want to be in no time flat. Amarillo is the largest town in the Texas Panhandle and the 14th biggest city in Texas, offering endless exciting things to see and do. Palo Duro Canyon, the Texas version of the Grand Canyon, is nearby. Overnite RV Park has been certified as a Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation, and features white picket fences, blooming rosebushes, tall trees, animals, songbirds, and butterflies in the Texas sunshine. Lake Meredith is also nearby, offering fishing, hiking, and boating opportunities.
