Southern Oaks RV Resort in Aransas Pass, TX is a well-kept and spacious RV park with a great value for its price. The wide sites are set up on level cement pads with a good amount of space between them. Traffic noise is not noticeable, despite its proximity to I35. The BEST part of the park is its huge, well-lit, astro-turfed dog park where visitors can walk their dogs freely. Additionally, the resort offers many amenities and activities, such as fishing ponds, pickleball courts, a heated pool, and a nice laundry facility. Guests can also enjoy many fun activities and meet friendly people. Though there is some constant highway noise, the park is easy to navigate and the rate for a months stay is reasonable. Southern Oaks RV Resort is located close to Port Aransas beach and Rockport and is just a short 45-minute drive from the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge where visitors can see whooping cranes and Crested Caracaras. The park is highly recommended and there is even a waiting list for monthly sites!
