This campground is a great place to stay for a few nights and take in the sights of the area. Located just across the river from Antler RV Resort on TX-16, it offers basic full-hookups and overflow parking nearby if needed. The sites are level, gravel, and long, and the park wifi is outstanding. It is close to the river and has a big area to walk dogs or kids to play by the river, although watch out for sticker burrs in some areas. There are cabins and some large fire rings on the outskirts of the park, but not at sites. The park is also in the process of being built, with a Great Lodge (should be ready by March), Office, Store, Restrooms/Showers, Zipline, Yurts, Amphitheater, and Pool/Hot Tub. Unfortunately, there are no tables, fire rings or grills at the campsites, and no shade trees or wind break. It is a little pricey, but the cost per night is $59 (price will be $75/night for Mardi Gras weekend 2023) with a Good Sam 10% discount.
