Pecan Grove RV Park in Austin, TX has a great location for exploring downtown Austin. The park is located within walking distance to several parks, the paths along the River, and multiple restaurants and food trucks. Sites are level and adequate with full hookups (30/50 amp) and gravel pads. Large trees provide shade throughout the park, but some sites upfront may have less shade. The staff is friendly and accommodating, always willing to provide assistance when necessary. Pecan Grove is an older park with some limitations, but it adds to the charm of an RV park that is basically in the city. The campground does not accept credit cards, and the back-in sites can be a bit narrow and difficult to maneuver. However, immediate help is available, and Larry, the park manager, does an excellent job of assisting campers. The parks Wi-Fi is not great, and the bathrooms are reportedly a bit dated, according to friends. Despite minor drawbacks, the RV parks location and overall ambiance make it a great destination for those looking to explore Austin.
