Johnson Creek Campground is a beautiful Lake O the Pines campground situated on a gorgeous lake with plenty of room for RVs, boat trailers, and tents. The campground offers a variety of sites, including paved RV sites with water, electric, fire ring, and table, as well as tent sites with lake views. The park is open from 6am to 10pm and the exit is open from 9am to 10pm. The staff at the gate are friendly and helpful and the grounds and facilities are kept clean. The lake is great for fishing and there are two beaches nearby - one in the day area and one in the campground. The nearby attractions, such as Jefferson and the animal safari, make for a great day trip. Unfortunately, the womens restroom near site 210 is pretty filthy and only one stall would close properly. Additionally, the restrooms and shower houses could use some fixing up and deep cleaning. Despite these issues, the lake view in the morning and at sunset is fantastic and the park is quiet and peaceful during the week.
