This campground is an older park located in Ballinger, Texas. It is a great location for an overnight stay and is close to town if needed. The park is open 24/7 and there are people coming and going at all hours. The park itself is nice enough with a beautiful pool, but the RV facilities are poor. There are many sites in the open field behind the dumpsters but they do not front the creek. The level and gravel area for parking can get busy during Memorial Day weekend. There are public toilets by the swimming pool but avoid them, as they need to have regular cleaning service when busy. The drop box for fee payment is dangerous, with a heavy lid that will fall on your hand as you try to cram your pay envelope in the slot. The restrooms are lacking and dump facility is inconvenient. If you have satellite you will most likely not get a signal and there are no local TV stations. Putt-putt golf and snow cones are near the end of the park. Be aware that this park may take all sites for events, so it is best to call ahead to check availability.

Ballinger City Park Campground is a 20-acre park that offers camping, fishing, swimming, basketball, volleyball, washers, and disc golf. The campground has 20 RV sites with water and electric hookups, as well as 10 tent sites. The park also features a playground, Imagination Station, and a city pool.
