Bastrop State Park is a nice park with full hookups and large yards. Some road noise from State Highway 71 can be heard, but its not unbearable if you keep your fan running. The woods have nicely recovered from a large fire in 2011. There is another state park nearby, so there is plenty to do. This state park and the nearby state park are connected by a paved road that has very little traffic. There are great trails for walking or biking. The shower house is new and beautiful with plenty of hot water and pressure. The park staff is very friendly. The location is good and close to Bastrop, which has everything you need. The park is great with great hiking trails.

Bastrop State Park is a beautiful park in Texas that offers two paddling trails, El Camino Real Paddling Trail and Wilbarger Paddling Trail. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and offers camping and day use facilities. The park has a swimming pool and is busy during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
