This campground is located on the Colorado River in Bastrop, offering beautiful views and easy access to Austin for day trips. The sites and roads are gravel, dirt, and can become a mess in the rain. Pull-throughs are available for easy overnight stays and plenty of room for long stays. The campground also offers good water pressure and site layouts, creating a peaceful, country setting. Unfortunately, the gravel on site can create a real mess when wet and the truck traffic on the farm road starts at 4:30 AM, making it difficult for light sleepers. Payment is accepted in cash or check, with credit cards accepted for an additional charge. The price may seem high for the condition of the park, as it is filled with rundown trailers and weeds growing under them. The road into the park looks like a war zone, with some of the potholes being a foot deep. Despite these drawbacks, visitors would stay here again, but may try somewhere else next trip.
