Visitors can enjoy exploring nearby towns that have plenty of things to see and do such as the castle. While the campground has a rustic charm, some reviews mention that maintenance is lacking, with numerous electrical boxes not up to code and covers missing. There are also grass burrs throughout the area, which may be difficult to remove from dogs with hairy legs and feet. Additionally, some long-term residents with children do not properly dispose of litter. Despite these issues, the rally hall is a nice feature with good kitchen facilities. Although under new management that some reviewers are not pleased with, overall, this campground is still an enjoyable place to stay at.
