The campground offers shade from the thorny bushes, as well as a well-built sun shelter, and is a great spot for RVs with full hookup. There is no wifi or internet, but the Village Store where you check in has groceries, souvenirs, gas station and a laundromat. Wildlife is abundant, with vultures singing in the trees and javelinas making daily visits. You can also access Boquillas del Carmen, Mexico, with good food and cold margaritas. Cell phone service is only available at the main visitor center, which is a 20-minute drive away. If youre looking for a central location with hiking trails and access to the Rio Grande, Rio Grande Village Campground is the perfect spot for your Big Bend adventure.
