Hackberry Hollow State Park is a small campground with 20 electric/water sites, a few tent-only sites, cabins and a group picnic area. Bonham City Lake Recreation Area is a public access facility located on the south shore at the east end of the lake. The campground offers a boat ramp that accommodates all boat types, and a fishing pier is available. A boat permit is required and can be purchased at the lakeside store. The campground is open all year and is operated by the City of Bonham.
