Black Rock RV Park is a small, well-maintained Lower Colorado River Authority park located on the west side of Lake Buchanan. It offers a peaceful and scenic destination for RVers, with full hookups, a mini golf course, and kayak rentals. The campsites are well spaced and have full hookups, a nice table and fire ring, and a crushed granite parking pad. The lake shoreline has receded due to drought, but the lake is still accessible and beautiful for kayaking. The restrooms and showers are clean, and the park is well maintained by friendly hosts. There is a playground, a swimming beach, and a volleyball court for recreation. Unfortunately, there is no mention of a burn ban on the park website, and no trails for biking or hiking. Kingsland is 5 miles away, and Burnet is 10 miles away for groceries and other supplies. Black Rock RV Park is a great destination for a quiet weekend, especially in the winter months.
