Inks Lake State Park is a beautiful campground located in the Texas Hill Country. It offers a variety of activities such as camping, backpacking, hiking, geocaching, swimming, boating, water skiing, scuba diving, and fishing. The park features level asphalt (chip seal) waterfront sites with creek inlets on one side, a 9 hole golf course up the road, and plenty of room for larger rigs to navigate through the park. There are several campgrounds within the heavily treed park, offering everything from back country camping to water/electric sites on semi-level asphalt pads. The park also has a playground for kids, nearby showers and restrooms, a volleyball net, and lots of space to explore and have fun. The Devils Waterhole is close by and has a great hiking trail that takes you up to the waterfall. The general store has anything you forgot at home and a place where you can rent kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. There is also a food trailer and grocery store, as well as canoe, kayak, and pedal boat rentals. The park is pristine, and many sites are suitable for swimming in the cool, clear water or launching a canoe/kayak/jon boat. The cost of entry is $5 per person and the Texas State Park Pass offers discounts on the campsite itself. Enjoy the abundance of wildlife present in the park and the spacious sites.
