Wise County Park is the perfect place for a laid back camping getaway close to home. With RV and tent sites, the park is popular during holidays and weekends. The RV sites offer electricity and water, some even have sewer dump available. The public restroom and showers are kept clean and are busy during peak times, and the park also offers rental of their pavilion for events and functions. Kids can enjoy the playgrounds and boats can launch off the ramp. Prices are very reasonable, only $5 for no hook ups like tent camping. Bring your own firewood and check the burn bans in advance, as this area has had several burn bans over the years and gets very dry. There are two RV areas that have water and electric hookups for $20/night. The restroom facilities are dated but kept clean, and there is a gravel walking trail that is approx 3 miles long one way. Lake Bridgeport is a pristine lake, perfect for boating, swimming, canoeing or setting up camp. Deb and Bill run the park and make sure all rules are being followed. Come early on busy weekends and enjoy a perfect camping getaway close to home.

From The Campground

Wise County Park is a beautiful campground located in Chico, Texas. The park offers 24 RV sites, 10 of which have water and electric only, and 14 with water, sewer, and electric. The park also features boat ramps with piers, fishing, picnic tables, a playground, public restrooms, showers, swimming (no lifeguards), and a walking/nature trail. There are two small pavilions available for rent at $30 per day, and one large pavilion available for rent at $50 per day. Rough camping is available for $10 per tent per night, and RV full hookups are available for $30 per night, while RV hookups with electric and water are available for $25 per night. There are no refunds on park fees.
