Cleburne State Park in TX offers beautiful scenery and a small lake, Cedar Lake, between Cleburne and Glenrose for fishing (fishing license available at the rangers office). The park is easy to navigate thanks to friendly and helpful staff. Most sites are asphalt and have fire rings, but they are not all level. Visitors should bring their leveling skills and patience. The hiking trails are great and offer a variety of terrains suitable for different levels of experience. Bath facilities are accessible from all sites and are kept clean. ATT cell service is spotty and there is virtually no Wi-Fi, making it a perfect spot for unplugging and enjoying the quiet and peaceful surroundings.

This campground is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is located at an elevation of 764 feet. The campground often reaches capacity, so reservations are highly recommended for both camping and day use. The busiest season is in the spring and summer. The campground is located near Dinosaur Valley State Park, Meridian State Park, and Lake Whitney State Park. The climate in the area ranges from an average low of 34 degrees in January to an average high of 97 degrees in July. The wettest month is May and the driest month is July.
