Corpus Christi Air Station is a small campground located in a poor part of Corpus Christi, just a mile from Naval Air Station CC. The campground is a great place for RVers to get away from the hustle and bustle of larger RV parks, and offers full hookups, a swimming pool, laundry facilities, and a rec hall with large screen TV and exercise equipment. The campground also features potlucks and Saturday Breakfasts, truck races, crafts, cards, puzzles, and some workout equipment. Unfortunately, the campground is located next to a waste water treatment plant, and the wind can cause unpleasant smells. The sites are also too short for very long fifth wheels and tow vehicles, and the neighborhood is not pretty. However, the campground is safe and populated by good people living on small budgets. The sound of freedom can be heard overhead most of the day, and it is within a stones throw of a fishing pier on the ocean. Management is friendly and inviting, and the campground offers a PPA discount.
