Big Spot Campground is a fairly new park located in San Leon, Texas, close to Galveston and NASA. It offers full hook-up sites, most of which are drive-thru, on wide concrete pads with narrow grass patches between. There are not many trees or shrubs, so the park has a concrete parking lot feel. The staff is friendly and the park is kept neat and tidy. The gates are locked after 6 pm with a code assigned to each camper for entry. The office is dingy and cluttered and the staff can be grumpy. The pull-through sites are the only ones big enough for a 40 coach, but the back-in sites are wide and easy to back into. There are deep potholes at the park entrance, but these can be fixed in time.
