Texana Park and Campground is a former state park situated on Lake Texana, offering a wide variety of activities for campers. The park is full of wildlife, including tame deer, armadillos, barred owls, cardinals, and bunnies. There are plenty of trails for hiking and cycling, and good fishing and boating on the lake. Sites have picnic tables and fire pits, and some have shade trees and lake views. The park has an automated gate system and Wi-Fi hotspots, and the town of Edna is 7 miles away for Wi-Fi hotspot at the library, laundry, fuel, and a large grocery store. The park is heavily used, with friendly staff and lots of wildlife to see. Wireless is excellent, over the air HDTV is good, and cell reception is 1-2 bars with a few dropped calls. There is a playground area, but no pool and no swimming in the lake due to the alligator population. The park is a great place to relax and enjoy nature, with plenty of activities and wildlife to explore.
