It is a great place for fishing, kayaking, or just relaxing. There are plenty of trails and lots of wildlife. The park is very clean and the staff is friendly. The sites are well spaced and provide plenty of privacy. The park also has a nice playground and a few other amenities. There is a lake with lily pads, and although you cant swim in it, it is a great place to fish and enjoy the scenery. The park also hosts events throughout the year, and there is a charity race during our visit. The park is close to the Texas coast line and the closest town is Edna. There is a limited number of full service slots, so it is best to book in advance. The park has plenty of trails and amenities from Breckenridge across the street, and there is a nice hardware store in Edna. There are plenty of restaurants and fast food options nearby. The campsites have picnic tables, fire pits, and some have shade trees and lake views. There are also deer, bathrooms and showers, and parks for the kids. AT&T hotspot works well, but Xfinity mobile reception is limited. The park is clean and well stocked with toilet/shower facilities. It is a wildlife refuge, and you will have daily visits from deer. There are plenty of FHU sites that can accommodate bigger rigs, and there is good lake access. There is a park host, but they are not always on duty. The park is large and has a wide variety of activities to enjoy.
