What others are saying about this campground
Tom Mays Park is a stunning desert oasis located just a few miles from El Paso, Texas. With stunning views of the mountains in every direction, its the perfect spot for a night or two of camping. The park offers five RV sites, which are not particularly level, but can be managed with a few levelling blocks. There are also plenty of scenic hiking trails, as well as a nature trail with a bird blind. Cell service is decent, but a signal booster may be necessary for AT&T. The park is at 5,000 ft, so LP fridges may struggle a bit. The nights are cool, making for pleasant morning and evening hikes. The park is off Trans-Mountain highway and is accessible with a big rig, but maneuvering the tight turns and U-turns may be difficult. The park is best suited for tent camping, but RVs can be accommodated with the right preparation.
