GenieSummary

What others are saying about this campground
Fairfield Lake State Park in Fairfield, TX is a well-maintained, beautiful park, with clean restrooms and plenty of hot water. There are numerous shaded sites and many pull-throughs, some being very level from right to left, while others slope upwards or downwards. This park is very wooded and a bit short on trails, but there are some good hiking trails and wildlife is plentiful. There is a small lake with limited view from many of the sites. We stayed for 3-5 nights in several sites and enjoyed the respectfulness of other guests, as well as the friendly staff. A developer may purchase this park in February 2023 but the state is working hard to keep it a State Park. We highly recommend Fairfield Lake State Park, especially for families with children, and will likely return in the future.
