Fort Hood RV is a great campground for those with military ID who are visiting the Killeen area. Located in west Fort Hood by the Clark gate exit on I-14/ US-90 W, the campground offers paved roads and gravel roads for those who prefer a more rustic experience. There is a laundry house, bathrooms, and a meeting/relax/break room near the office. The older section of the campground offers pull-through sites with cable TV for an extra fee, while the newer section has 16 pull-through sites with picnic tables on a concrete patio. WiFi is available in the reading room by the shower, but may be extended to other spots with a range extender. The campground is close to the main post, PX, commissary, and Copperas Cove, which offers restaurants and shopping. The closest full service RV shop is in Harker Heights, 20 minutes east. The only downside is that the dog walk area is only in the far corner of the pull-through side. Despite this, the campground is a convenient and comfortable place to stay for those in the Killeen, Copperas Cove, or Ft Hood area.
