Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg, TX is a great choice for RV campers. It offers level and clean sites with a great location close to the city. The upper loop sites are long pull-throughs, but the orientation of the sites can be a bit inconvenient since the sitting area of each unit faces its neighbor. The hookups are opposite each other, making it somewhat challenging for two RVs to stagger their position to avoid conflicts. However, the upper loop sites were rebuilt a few years ago and are generally well-maintained. The east side of the Horseshoe Loop would be better if they were oriented in the opposite direction for better shade in the sitting areas during the afternoon and evening. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The laundry facilities are top-notch and clean restrooms also come well equipped. Overall, this campground offers a comfortable and scenic experience for RV enthusiasts who want to explore the Fredericksburg area.

Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park Campground is a beautiful RV park located 3 miles south of downtown Fredericksburg off of Hwy. 16 S. at the gates of Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. The campground features 92 RV spaces with 30 and 50 amp electrical hook-ups, water, sewer, and cable TV. Wireless internet is provided free of charge. Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times and picked up after immediately. The campground also has a five-acre primitive tent camping field adjacent to the park headquarters office. Tent camping is limited to fourteen consecutive nights within a 6-month period. Sleeping in vehicles is prohibited. No ground fires, fire rings available to rent for $5 for up to a week. Ice is available for sale at $3 for a 7 lb. bag.
