This campground is located in the Texas Wine Country, a short drive from Fredericksburg. It offers extreme privacy from tourism and is well-kept, with gravel roads throughout and RV sites that are spaciously spaced apart. The back-in sites are a bit short for motor home and tow vehicle parking. The office has a very large and well-stocked camp store, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The campground offers amenities such as a clubhouse, pool tables, and a bathhouse, as well as a jumping pillow, campfire with story telling, candy bar bingo, and a bears program for kids. The showers and bathrooms are spacious, beautiful, and immaculately clean. The roads and sites are mainly dirt with light pea gravel, and the park is family oriented, making it a great choice for families. Though the campground needs some attention, with paint, repair of the water wheel, and clearing of the overgrown pond and creek, it is a great place to stay with plenty of activities for kids and adults alike.
