San Luis Pass County Park is a County campground located on an island near the tip of a peninsular. It features Full Hookup and paved lots, however, the sites are close together and can be difficult to maneuver for big rigs. The park is secure with an entrance gate and surrounded by water, but the nearest town for shopping is 20 miles away. It has great fishing, and is close to the beaches of Galveston and Bird Island. There is good Wifi, but the campground is lit up brightly, so it is not ideal for dark sky lovers. Despite some of the drawbacks, visitors enjoy the fishing, bird watching and the views of the sunrises and sunsets.

San Luis Pass is a 15-acre bay park located in Freeport, TX. The park features both day-use amenities and overnight facilities, including paved full service RV camping, cabins, a climate-controlled meeting room with kitchenette, interpretive center, pavilion, restrooms, fish cleaning stations, paved parking, and a boat launch. Natural attractions include bay fishing, boating, bird watching, nature viewing, and beach combing. The park is historically known as a popular 'back entry' into Galveston Bay for smugglers and pirates. San Luis Pass County Park offers Disabled America Veteran & Active Military discounts.
