This campground is a great spot for a low-key getaway. The sites are concrete runners with large side slabs, and while they are close together, they are still better than some of the more congested campgrounds. The park is close to the bay, towns, and plenty of restaurants, making it convenient for travelers. The sites come in both full sun and shady, and the trees provide plenty of shade. The water is cloudy and full of debris, and something made the bottoms of feet burn for two days. The shower room is nice and cool, but could use a soap rack. There is one restroom for the whole campground, but a second one is available for full-timers. The electricity is not great for a 50 amp coach, and the cost can be expensive for seniors on a budget. The park is also right on Highway 35, so there is traffic noise, and it is across from a beer joint that can be loud on the weekends. The owners are very helpful and accommodating, and the park is clean and well-maintained.
