This campground is located in Georgetown, Texas, and is conveniently located near Austin and San Antonio. It offers great attractions such as nature walks by the river and a playground for the grandkids. It is in a flood plain, however, so all RVs must be self sufficient and able to move in case of an evacuation warning. The public restroom and laundry room are in an old trailer that needs to be replaced, and the Wifi is sketchy at best. The website photos are from years ago and do not reflect the current condition of the park. There are no rules regarding RV condition, and many of the RVs are old with junk strewn outside. Dogs are running free and no one picks up after them. Dead branches have fallen from the trees onto the Airstreams. The new owner is taking over and is very helpful when plans change. Despite the downsides, this is the favorite campground in the Georgetown area and is worth staying at again.

Shady River RV Resort is a 15-acre RV park located in a beautiful country setting with lots of greenery. The park has shaded and open spaces, and is home to several 60 feet+ pecan trees. It is an ideal location for long term stays, with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The RV park has easy access to Hwy 130 and Hwy I-35, making it convenient for day trips to major Central Texas cities such as Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Hutto, Taylor, Jarrell, Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, Jonah, Weir, and Granger. Shady River RV Resort is also located minutes away from the Samsung Semiconductor plant in Taylor, TX, Amazon's Pflugerville fulfillment center, and Tesla's Gigafactory.
