This campground is a great spot for a quiet getaway. Located in the Guadalupe River bottom, the campground is shaded by beautiful, mature pecan trees, providing lots of shade and a peaceful atmosphere. The river provides plenty of opportunities for fishing and swimming, and the campground is home to abundant wildlife. The RV sites are roomy and have electric and water hookups, and the camp store has basic supplies and RV hardware. The park is run by the GBRA (Guadalupe/Blanco River Authority) and reservations can be made for a low nightly rate of $14 for a 30 amp full hookup site. Unfortunately, the lake is dry due to a dam failure and there are no plans for repair in the near future. The internal roads are tight and there is very little artificial lighting, so caution should be taken when arriving at night.
