Texas Freedom RV Village is a well-run campground located just 3 miles east of Gonzales, Texas. It offers pull-through sites that are 80 feet long and nicely groomed, with a grassy area and a shade tree. The roads are an asphalt gravel mix, and the sites are level and have a space to park an extra vehicle. The site can get muddy with rain, so they are redoing all the sites with crushed stone to avoid this issue. There is a fenced area for dogs and the park is very quiet and peaceful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about restaurants and things to do in the area. Laundry and shower facilities are very clean. It is a great place to stay for short or long stays, and is perfect for those needing to evacuate due to a hurricane. WiFi is okay for email and surfing, and there are some sites with just 30 amps of power.
