Located in Grapevine, Texas, the Vineyards Campground & Cabins is a well-maintained park with a security gate that requires a code for entry after 6 pm. The camp store is nicely equipped and the climate-controlled toilet and shower facility is immaculate. Firewood is available through an on-site vending machine, and each site comes with a well-made metal picnic table and fire ring with a cooking grate. The roads are wide and easily accessible for larger RVs, and check-in and check-out is a breeze. Campers can enjoy free Sunday morning donuts and an easy drive to the George W. Bush Presidential Library. The park has free WIFI, but it can be slow and is not ideal as a streaming option. One of the things that sets the Vineyards apart is its picturesque backdrop of the lake, which is visible from almost every site. The park has plenty of space, and the campers enjoy a lot of grassy area around their RVs, providing ample room to relax or play ball with the kids. There is plenty to do nearby as well; old town Grapevine is just five minutes away. While the park is beautiful and staff are very friendly and helpful, there are a few downsides to consider. The park is near DFW International and noise from aircraft is continuous, which may not be suitable for light sleepers. Of the sites reviewed, some experienced a limited amount of shade due to site placement. Also, some campsites had utility pedestals with large dusk-to-dawn lights that could not be switched off, which may be an issue for campers who prefer a darker setting in the evening. Some reviewers commented on barking dogs and the picnic tables being chained to concrete. Despite a few drawbacks, the Vineyards Campground & Cabins is an excellent choice for a family-friendly camping destination with beautiful views and tons of nearby activities.
