Palm Gardens is an established older mobile home park located in Brownsville, Texas, close to the Gladys Porter Zoo, South Padre Island, Iwo Jima Statute, and the Rio Grande Valley. The park is lush and green, with lots of trees, including palms, oranges, grapefruits, limes, and avocados. The pool and hot tub are clean and well-maintained, and there is a big new dog park and other recent upgrades. The sites are large and level, with good quality power, water, and sewer connections. The park charges a weekly rate of $195, plus $0.12 per kilowatt hour for electricity. Cable and satellite TV are available, and there is a fee for wi-fi. Unfortunately, the park is near the confluence of two highways, so there is a din of traffic and sirens. The park is now under new management and not as welcoming to Rvers as it once was. The office staff are friendly and helpful, but the new manager is not as knowledgeable or accommodating. Despite this, the park is still a great place to stay, with friendly people and lots of activities.
