The park roads are rough and there is no shade, picnic table, grill, or fire pit. However, the sites are level and well maintained, and the restrooms and laundry area are clean. The park also includes a large convention center and is located next to the Legendary Oaks Golf Course, with green fees that are very reasonable. The park manager is friendly and the hosts are lonely but friendly. This is a great place to stop and relax while on your way to Houston.
