There is also a beautiful lake with catch and release fishing and a dog walk area. The park is on a narrow one lane road and is close to a large apartment complex construction site. The park is expensive for overnight camping, but it is one of the few options in the Houston area. The traffic on Almeda Genoa Road is heavy and makes it difficult to access 288. The park is crowded and the sites are close together, but it is dog friendly. The amenities building is gorgeous and includes a laundry, beautiful bathrooms and lounge area, computer room, and free popcorn. The staff is friendly, but beware of the crowding on the weekends.
