Pedernales Falls State Park is a Hill Country gem with fantastic hiking trails through beautiful natural terrain. The park provides large, level sites for campers. The brand new bathroom and shower facilities are very clean. The park is perfect for bike riding, and the swimming hole is great for a refreshing dip. Be cautious when selecting sites as some are not very level, with picnic tables situated away from the campsites. The primitive backcountry camping gives a unique and enjoyable experience. The bird blind is worth a visit. The waterfall is beautiful, but make sure you are prepared for the uphill hike back. You may find various wildlife such as deer, birds, and lizards.
