Pine Island Campground is a quaint old cotton town located on a waterway that once reached the gulf. There are BBQ grills and fire pits at all sites, and a nice bath house with washers and dryers. The bathrooms have their own heaters and AC, and even reading material for the porcelain throne! Just across the road is a restaurant, otherwise, youll need to bring everything you need as the closest town, Marshall, is about a 25 minute drive away. Wanda, the host, is very helpful and provides visitors with sites to visit, restaurants to try, and some local history. CPT Rons Swamp Tour is an easy walk and well worth the time and money. Jefferson is a cool small East Texas town that is worth a visit.

From The Campground

Pine Island RV Park is a small RV park located next to Caddo Bayou in Karnack, Texas. The park offers clean and well-spaced out campsites with water and electric hookups, fire pits, and grills. The park also has a bathroom, washer and dryer, and a small dumpster to ensure a tidy campsite. The owners are friendly and accommodating. The park is in the country and peaceful but close to town and good restaurants. It is also only a few miles from Caddo Lake State Park. The park provides a fire pit area as well as grills conveniently located on each campsite. There’s even benches at each spot. There also appears to be covered RV parking spots as well. The mosquitoes can be a bit much if you are unprepared for them down south/Louisiana since the bayou is right there. However, a few candles and spray should be good to keep you walking on the trails nearby. The park also has a pool if you come during the summer months!!
