GenieSummary

Kerrville Schreiner Park is a former state park that offers water activities near its riverside sites, but can have road noise. The park is closed for deer hunting in December, and the off-season can lead to some neglected maintenance. The campground and tables may need cleaning, and the camp host might be absent. The older facilities are relatively clean, but may have lots of spiders. There is a great riverside trail but it could use some clearance. The park can be difficult to navigate, and some campsites are unlevel and may have confusing hookups. Cell service can be challenging. Despite these issues, the park remains a go-to destination for some because of its proximity to shopping and tourist attractions.

From The Campground

Kerrville-Schreiner Park is the largest municipal park in Kerrville, Texas, covering 517 acres along the Guadalupe River. The park offers a variety of camping options including 30 & 50 amp RV sites, tent camping, cabins, and a Ranch House. Amenities include a Recreation Hall, Dining Hall, playground, butterfly garden, sand volleyball, basketball, 10+ miles of hike and bike trails, river access, River Trail Trailhead, kayak and canoe rentals, fishing, and picnic areas with standing grills throughout. Pets are allowed in the RV area and on the hiking trails, but leash laws apply.
