Kimball Bend Park COE is a rustic campground located on the Brazos River, with only 32 sites offering plenty of room and privacy. Each site has a view of the river, and offers electric and water hookup, a fire pit, grill, picnic table, and shelter. There are also ruins from the old Chisholm Trail era that are fenced off for visitors to explore. The campground is quiet and peaceful, and the only downside is that the grass needs to be cut. Cell service is only available through AT&T, and the closest grocery and Walmart are in Cleburne, 20 miles away. This is a great spot for a quick camping getaway, and visitors can enjoy the beauty of the Brazos River and the history of the old ghost town, Kimball.
