Hood, and the stars at night are amazing. Our Friends Campground is a beautiful, peaceful property located at the outskirts of Lampasas, Texas. It is close to Kempner, Copperas Cove, and Killeen, making it a great location for those visiting the area. The campground offers full hookup with 30/50 amp, a seasonal pool, a gazebo, a small fountain with seating, a bathhouse and laundry facility, and a community fire pit. There is also a rental cabin and personal storage buildings, as well as an on-site dog grooming service. The sites are gravel and fairly level, with some pull-through sites having shade from trees that have been planted. There is a new storm shelter and the owner is planning on putting in a dog park. WiFi is reasonable in the morning but by evening use is near impossible. There are no fire rings at each site but there is one next to a covered picnic table that is available to everyone. The campground is safe and quiet, with the owners living on-site and being quick to make needed repairs. There is no pool, cable, Wi-Fi, or phone, but the stars at night are amazing.
