Rainbows End RV Park in Livingston, TX is a great place to stay for long-term camping. The park has friendly and helpful staff who are always available to answer questions. The location is quiet, surrounded by trees and squirrels. The gravel lanes and sites can get messy when it rains, but the rates for Hill (full hook-up) camping are a great value at $357/month plus electric. There are several amenities on site, including a thrift store, activity center, and a club house. Pull-through gravel sites are large, and utilities are fine. However, there were numerous standing water puddles in front of some sites. Also, guests should be aware of potential noise disturbances, such as the sound of gunshots, which we experienced during our stay. Despite some drawbacks, we would definitely stay at this park again.

From The Campground

Rainbow's End is a full-service RV park located in the piney woods of east Texas. It is also the national headquarters of the Escapees RV Club. The park offers full-hookup sites, pull-throughs, Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, clubhouse, activity center, dog runs, dump stations, laundry, showers, tire inflation, SmartWeigh, and RVers Bootcamp. Rainbow's End is also home to Escapees CARE, a nonprofit corporation that provides a safe haven for members whose travels are permanently ended because of age or temporarily interrupted because of health problems. Area attractions include Lake Livingston State Park, Lufkin, TX, Liberty Opry in Liberty, TX, Houston, Galveston Beach, and Big Thicket National Preserve.
