Lufkin KOA Journey in Lufkin, TX is a convenient stop-off for RV campers. Though some campers found the highway noise to be a bit loud, the park is one of the cleanest many have seen and the staff friendly and accommodating. The sites are flat, smooth, and well-maintained. The park offers concrete pads and asphalt roads. Check-in was said to be easy and the staff, overall, were professional and helpful. The campground is situated atop a hill with a pond nearby. Though some found the Wi-Fi connection poor and the cable absent, others found it to be a nice, quiet place to stay, overnight or longer. Ultimately, most agreed that the park is clean and easy to navigate, with nice long sites and a helpful, professional staff.

You're deep in the heart of Texas at Lufkin KOA: The nearest neighbors are Texas Longhorn cattle grazing nearby. The campground is practically surrounded by a well-tended ranch, so you're sure to enjoy a relaxing retreat. Admire the wide-open Lone Star landscape, rich with birds and other wildlife. Take a dip in the pool, check out the fishing pond or learn to toss horseshoes like a real cowpoke. This location offers easy-on/easy-off access from major highways that pass through Lufkin. Spend a day at Sam Rayburn Reservoir, one of the best fishing lakes in the state. Nacogdoches, known as the oldest town in Texas, is about 20 minutes away. In Lufkin, stop by the Texas Forestry Museum. Pool: April 1 - October 1. Max pull thru: 73 feet.
