Menard Co. RV Park is a quiet, safe, and beautiful place to spend a night or two. It is located on the San Saba river and features huge shade trees, making it a perfect spot for visiting the Texas Hill Country. The park offers FHU, a trash dumpster, and a beat up washer and dryer for donation. Unfortunately, there are no showers, laundry, or restrooms and the park is filled with transient industrial workers. Cell service is not available, but the WiFi is great for streaming video. The sites are spacious, but have lots of grass burrs and are a bit rough. The price is great at $15 per night, and payment is on the honor system. It is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.
