Paradise South is an Encore resort part of Thousand Trails. It is an older property with a few empty spots and wet ground due to recent rainfall. Low voltage was found on the 50 amp pedestal and on other sites as well. The customer service was good and the resort programs are excellent for its size. The sites are all back-in and of OK size. Maintenance responds quickly to problems. WIFI has been upgraded and is available at each site, but you pay for it. Entertainment has not been the same quality as earlier years. The park is centrally located for most activities in the area. It is the least expensive for a monthly rate in the area. The gate is locked at all times with no attendant, making it difficult to access if visiting. Visitors are now charged to attend park activities. The park is past its prime and not much money is being put into it to upgrade it. There are a few trees for shade, but not a lot. The manager only walks outside and smokes. Wi-Fi is available in the clubhouse and is generally good. The bathrooms are clean but aging.

Paradise South RV Resort is an age-qualified resort located in Texas. Pets are allowed in the resort. The resort offers daily and weekly stays, as well as extended stays for one month or longer. For all stays of one month or longer, a one month deposit up to a maximum deposit of $750 is required at the time of reservation. The resort has a cancellation and refund policy. The resort offers RV campsites and does not have tent sites. The resort has a maximum stay of 14 days per site from April 15th till September 15th. The resort offers a Thousand Trails Camping Pass.
