What others are saying about this campground
Bentsen-RGV State Park is a great destination for nature lovers and bird watchers. The park offers 10 primitive tent sites for hikers and bicycle travelers, with a porta-pottie located nearby. The park is home to a variety of birds, and is especially popular during the November-February season when birds are easy to spot and winter Texans are in. The park also has a number of feeding areas, and visitors may even spot wild turkeys and javelinas. There is a daily entrance fee of $5 per person, plus a rate of $18 per night for primitive tent camping. An annual pass of $70 quickly pays for itself with camping discounts and waived entry fees.
