From The Campground

Stubblefield Lake Recreation Area is a beautiful campground located in the Sam Houston National Forest, just an hour north of Houston. The campground offers a variety of outdoor experiences, including camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and picnicking. The campground was built in 1937 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal programs.
