Bayside RV Park is a marina-style campground located on Tres Palacios Bay in Palacios, Texas. The park offers two classes of sites, regular and premium, with full hookups, picnic tables, and Wi-Fi. The park is mainly filled with towables, 5th Wheels, and workers from nearby plants, but during fishing season it is likely to be full. The park is surrounded by a marina filled mostly with sailboats, and the largest shrimp fleet on the gulf coast is moored next door. The view of the bay is potentially beautiful, but you have to look past the rundown marina and overflowing trash containers to see it. The roads are dirt/gravel with pot holes and the sites are like staying in a swamp for days at a time when it rains. The sea air is great but everything gets covered in salt and any exposed metal rust. Dust from the unpaved roads, boat repair noise and paint in the air is a real problem. At times it looks like the boats are dumping their black tanks in the water and it backs up in the inner corners of the marina. The Wi-Fi is advertised as free, but it is unreliable and the staff is not helpful in fixing it. The showers are slippery from algae and low pressure makes you stand for what seems like a life time rinsing off. Mosquitoes come out in force around mid-morning and late afternoon, so be sure to bring plenty of anti-mosquito repellent. The management and staff at Bayside RV Park are very pleasant, but the park is in need of repair and upkeep.

Serendipity Bay RV Resort and Marina is a 17-acre resort located in Palacios, Texas. The resort offers RV sites, cabins, and a bay house for rent. Amenities include a tropical swimming pool and hot tub, fitness center, children's play area, shuffleboard, bocce ball, recreational room and party hall, fishing pier, and more. The resort is located off Highway 35 on Main Street, just north of Port Lavaca and a short drive to Bay City. The Texas Coast is full of features that set it apart from the rest of Texas. The same is true for Serendipity Bay RV Resort and Marina. We host all the conveniences of home in the atmosphere of the beautiful sunrises and sandy beaches.
