This campground is the perfect place for a quick overnight stay. It is located just past the National Guard Armory on the east side of town, and is a bit hard to find as the county doesnt have a street address for it. It offers pull-through sites with water and electricity, as well as a dump station, level pull-through, and paved roads. The park is well lit, quiet, and clean. It features a 7 acre lake, on-site host, bathrooms, basketball courts, walking trail with a lake, playground, and large pavilion. The price is $8/$10 weekdays and $15/$20 weekends, and there is a ten day maximum stay. The park is also considering upgrading the park to 50 amp service and sewer hook-ups. Unfortunately, the sites are close together and there is no security, so it is not recommended to stay here without a gun in the RV.

From The Campground

Recreation Park is a 134-acre multi-purpose park located in Pampa, Texas. The park features a 7-acre lake with a canoe launch and fishing pier, a four-field softball complex, a skeet range, an indoor pistol range, the Clyde Carruth Pavilion Show Barn, playgrounds, rodeo grounds, a group shelter pavilion, picnic tables, a hiking trail, sand volleyball, basketball courts, and camping facilities. Overnight camping is permitted for RVs, with water, electrical hook-ups, and two dump stations. Showers and restroom facilities are available for campers, with day use restrooms open to the general public. Tent camping is also permitted in designated areas at no cost. Reservations for campers are not necessary and are not taken.
